Woman with mental health issues

About us

We won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect

We are an independent local mental health charity operating in West Sussex. Our work is driven by the needs and experiences of people with a mental health problem. We provide information and support to anyone experiencing mental health issues and campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.

Our innovative services develop mental well-being, resilience and recovery. We work with young people, adults, older adults, carers and families. Our intention is for people have control of their lives and be as independent as possible.

The support and advice we offer aims to improve people's physical and mental well-being, strengthen self-esteem and confidence and promote strong relationships with family, friends and communities. We also help people get into education, training or work and achieve their personal and social goals.

Raising awareness about mental health is a priority for us so we work actively in our communities to encourage understanding and to tackle the stigma and discrimination which continues to affect the lives of people with mental health problems. We do this by running events and activities and providing training.

Our experts provide specialist training to professionals such as those in education, GP practices, leisure centres and emergency services as well as bespoke training to staff in other organisations and companies.

We are an independent charity and receive no funding from the National Mind charity. Your donations support our work across West Sussex.
