Vacancy for Community Fundraising and Communications Manager

Full-time – Salary: £30,300

Coastal West Sussex Mind (CWSX Mind) is a local mental health charity committed to promoting mental well-being in local communities and supporting the recovery and independence of individuals to whom we provide support.  We know there has never been a better time to get community support for our cause by spreading stories about our work and it’s impact on social, broadcast and print media. We also know that when we communicate and spread the word about what we are doing people are inspired to help and fund-raise for us and we want to be able to respond to this generosity and support effectively.

We are, therefore, looking for an exceptional individual who is passionate about making a difference to manage this work for us. We are a small organisation, without a fund-raising team, so it’s essential we recruit someone who is a confident and creative manager but who is also a flexible and pragmatic individual willing to drop off collecting buckets and tear up raffle tickets when required! The post-holder will need to have proven knowledge, skills and abilities around leading community fund-raising and public relations work and working with volunteers ideally in a related charity field. The ability to travel to sites across West Sussex and have some flexibility around working hours (will involve some evening and weekend working) is essential.

 

There is some potential to negotiate around hours for exceptional candidates who can work at least 21 hrs per week but do not want to work full-time. Please state this clearly on application.
