Would you like to support our work by becoming directly involved? Volunteering can be extremely rewarding for you personally as well as valuable to Mind and local people facing mental health issues.
We have specific roles at our community projects and events for which we require volunteers as well as positions in areas including marketing, fundraising and adminstration.
A volunteer in one of our community projects might support individuals who need a bit more help with an activity. If you feel you would be good at spending time with people and talking to them, setting out and putting away equipment and suggesting or leading activities appropriate to the group, this could be for you.
Other roles, such as in fundraising or marketing, could include raising awareness of Mind, networking with local businesses, being active in the community, administrative tasks and helping to run events.
If you have good communication skills, are practical, caring, considerate of others and patient, helping at one of our community projects could be the right volunteer opportunity for you. Of course we also want you to be committed to being part of the service on a regular basis.
If you are a confident communicator, passionate about mental health and have good organisational skills, an adminstrative, fundraising or marketing role could be the option for you.
We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health issues.
We are looking for volunteers to support our Bognor and Chichester groups for older people with mental health needs (e.g. depression, anxiety, low mood due to social isolation, mild dementia). This role involves assisting service users and staff at these groups. There are many possible tasks and contributions; we would find out how we can use your skills, abilities and interests.
We are looking for a volunteer to support group members to go walking and or access other exercise facilities in the local area. You will be working as part of strong team of committed people. Exercise is beneficial to mental health and you will have the opportunity to share your skills and knowledge with people whose mental health will benefit from different forms of exercise.
we are looking for a volunteer to support people with mental ill health to enjoy & engage with weekly badminton & table-tennis sessions, helping to improve their physical and mental wellbeing.
We are looking for two community fundraising volunteers to assist at events and to engage with people in our community. This is an opportunity for those who like talking to people and being out in the community.
If you have a particular skill you could offer that would add something to our service, we would love to hear from you. Please call us on 01903 277001.
