Mental Health support worker Littlehampton

We have a vacancy for a mental health support worker at our Littlehampton Hub

We are looking for a Support Worker (grade 1) to work in and with our Littlehampton Mental Health service located in Littlehampton.

Salary: £11,232pa for 24 hours a week

Coastal West Sussex Mind is a local mental health charity committed to promoting mental well-being in local communities and supporting people along their recovery journey. We are working alongside other organisations within the Pathfinder West Sussex Alliance to enable people with mental health support needs and their carers to improve their mental health and wellbeing.

The successful applicant will work with the Littlehampton team to

- facilitate and develop peer support by leading peer support groups and activities   

- support the delivery of work that would contribute to the achievement of individuals personal support plan goals

- undertake a range of operational and administrative tasks to support the delivery of the service 

Evidence of previous experience and learning relating to supporting adults who have mental health needs would be an advantage. Also, some experience of leading and facilitating group activities will also be helpful.  

The successful candidate will need to be able to evidence that they can work within our policy frameworks and meet basic competencies around managing yourself, your work and working with people.   

As part of this role is to support our Out and About group it would be desirable for the successful applicant to hold a full UK driving licence and an independent means of transport in order to fulfil the role (mileage will be paid for travel).
