We have exciting opportunities for 2 x Peer Support Workers to work in our Families in Mind Service (Worthing & Adur and Arun)

Peer Support Workers – Families in Mind service

Arun – 22.5hrs per week

Worthing & Adur – 15 hrs per week

Pay rate is £9 per hour

Due to new funding from the Big Lottery we are looking for peer support workers for our successful Families in Mind service which operates in Adur, Worthing & Arun.

For these roles we are looking for individuals who have a passion and interest in mental health and some experience in this area through employment or volunteering. We particularly welcome applications from people who have had personal lived experiences of having mental health problems and being a parent.

As a peer support worker you will help mental health workers run and set up groups in community settings and also support parents individually in a range of settings.

There is flexibility in the hours and days worked and the role could be delivered in school hours. The successful candidates will need to be able to travel to sites across the area. We are looking for one worker in the Adur and Worthing area and another in the Arun area.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

The closing date for applications is: 9am 23 April 2019

Interview: 02 or 09 May 2019

Please clearly express your available hours on your application form.
