Hourly rate:  £10.83

Coastal West Sussex Mind is a local mental health charity committed to promoting mental well-being in local communities and supporting people along their recovery journey. We are working alongside other organisations within the Pathfinder West Sussex Alliance to enable people with mental health support needs and their carers to improve their mental health and wellbeing. 

We are looking for sessional mental health workers for our community services for adults with mental health problems to provide additional cover and support as required. Post-holders will provide recovery focused 1:1 and group support.  

The main service days are Tuesdays and Thursdays, but there will be some flexibility within this.

Applicants will need to state potential availability in the supporting information section of the application form.  

Applicants will need to:  

· have experience of working with people with mental health problems and an understanding of mental health recovery work 

· demonstrate that they can work independently in a busy mental health recovery service 

· be flexible, creative, show initiative and have a real commitment to their work  

We welcome applicants who are currently undertaking professional social work, counselling or mental health nursing training who have previously worked in mental health services.
